About Me

My name is Jon Hamilton, and I am currently serving in the Peace Corps in The Gambia as an Agriculture and Forestry Extension volunteer. I graduated from Harvard College in 2020 studying Environmental Science and Public Policy and worked in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for 2 years after that. During the COVID era, I realized that I wanted to have a more direct, on-the-ground work experience, as well as an experience that would help me grow further than the pandemic-induced stasis I was worried I had developed. Those thoughts, alongside desires to promote sustainable development and serve others, formed the basis for my application to the Peace Corps. The rest is... well, history in the making! I am eager to share what that ends up looking like between my experiences abroad and life musings along the way. Please stay in touch!
